Jerry Orbach - Law & Order Legend Dies

I know, I know, what is the death of one man, when we are in the middle of mourning the deaths of tens of thousands in Asia and India? But CNN is reporting that Law & Order actor Jerry Orbach has died of prostate cancer at 69. Orbach was an extremely prolific actor, starring in movies, tv shows, and stage through his life. But what affected me most was his role on Law & Order. A few years back, my mother was confined to bed by a horrible case of shingles. The dry wit of Lenny Briscoe (played by Orbach) playing day after day on A&E helped her through the tough time, and provided considerable comfort when none of the medications could do so.



Thanks, Jerry. For making us laugh and cry and care through your 69 years of life on this earth. It ain't curing cancer, but it made a big difference none the less.
