Jakarta Earthquake News Quickies

News is coming in faster than anyone can absorb it, but here is a quick round-up of stories. I can not imagine being in the middle of this as a victim or an aid worker or even a non-victim bystander.

1. The current death toll stands somewhere around 70,000, but the fate of 30,000 is still unknown in the Islands off the coast of India.
2. President Bush has authorized more aid, bringing us up to $35 million and has promised more is on the way, as needed.
3. Flickr and other online photo sites are full of first-hand pictures of the devatation of the Jakarta earthquake and tsunami.

And there is much, much more. Is it too soon to post that donate to the Red Cross link again?
