Call it Ironic

The ACLU has violated their own rules. And just what did they do?
The organization has been shaken by infighting since May, when the board learned that Anthony D. Romero, its executive director, had registered the A.C.L.U. for a federal charity drive that required it to certify that it would not knowingly employ people whose names were on government terrorism watch lists.
So the chair signed on for a grant that required them to perform secret searches against their own donors. The self-described bearers of freedom in America and they're doing the same thing the Patriot Act allows. Imagine the horror! Of course, the paragraph I quoted really gets at the essence of the problem for the ACLU. It requires that they not accept money from those potentially on terrorist watch-lists. How dare the government tell them that they can't take money from terrorists! How can they hope to continue their assault against everything American if they lose money from all of their anti-western, American hating donors in Al-Qaida?
