Making the Right Choice during a Hard Time

WTNH.Com is reporting a Connecticut woman is furious over being impregnanted with the wrong sperm at a local fertility clinic. She alleges that not only was it the wrong seed, but that it was that of a man of a different race entirely. Yet, there is a powerful lesson here nonetheless. Even though the woman would have societally-acceptable reason to abort the baby both on the grounds of it being a mistake,and further because it would be of mixed-race and thus likely have a difficult life, she is keeping the baby. I doubt many will hail her as a hero for this - most will see her as a victim instead. But she understands something more potential mothers and fathers do not: every baby, every child is a gift from God that a parent is entrusted with. Not a liability to be dealt with.
