Tom Daschle, Democratic minority leader of the Senate, is defying the current "economy, two americas, don't we have great hair" direction of the John Kerry/John Edwards campaign and indicating he is "very concerned about homeland security issues in the face of what he called the most sobering terror report he had heard recently." It seems that the Senate's top Democrat - and the presumptive leader of the party if the Johns do not take the White House - is unable to get on-message in light of the new reports of possible election-time violence from Al-Qaeda.
It makes you wonder. If the man who should be the #1 Kerry/Edwards supporter won't use their talking points, maybe it is a sign they are talking about the wrong things.
