It's Not Just an American Problem

Despite the Pope's absurd claim that the sex abuse scandal is an "American" problem and not really such a big deal, the proof seems to suggest otherwise. How much longer will this Pope do nothing? Some will argue that he is too old and that his health prevents him from speaking out. It hasn't stopped him from traveling or from canonizing more saints then any other Pope in history. JP2 has done many notable things in his term, but I don't see how anyone can consider the past decade to be anything short of disaster. His refusal to condemn mass-murderers, his blind eye turned away from the child sex abuse situation, etc. This Papacy has suffered a severe lack of discernment in recent years, and the entire Catholic Church is suffering for it.
