Commodore: Back from the Dead, or Just a Zombie?

Who remembers their old Commodore 64 or Commodore 128 home computers? Yeah, me too. (Yes, humble reader who thinks I am talking about a Star Trek character, I am getting old.) They were the hottest-selling home computers of all time, eclipsing even Apple and IBM in their day. But then, somehow, they squandered a huge sales lead and wound up out of business by the time the modern PC and Macintosh were really taking off. Well, Slashdot is reporting that Commodore is back with several iPod-style MP3 players and a "TV Joystick" which will plug directly into your television to allow you to play many Commodore classic video games.



Notalgia sells, I guess. I am just glad I don't have to do my writing on a device without a hard drive, and on an old dot-matrix printer.
