The LA Times Gets it Wrong Again

An editorial piece at the LA Times claims that it is "morally wrong" to show the pictures and video of Americans beheaded by the terrorists in Iraq. While I agree that at the least, we should be sensitive to who sees the pictures, I find it ironic that this paper in particular would have the nerve to make such a claim. They didn't have any trouble showing over and over and over and over (you get the point) the pictures from Abu Ghraib. They were just as offensive and disturbing in many opinions. The LA Times themselves condemned the pictures as horrid, all the while posting them nearly daily on their website and in their paper.

The lunatic left will gladly take part in any mission that undermines the strength of our country, but continually gets squeamish when images are shown that might actually really make Americans mad enough to act. Why is that? Why is it okay to make the Muslims angry enough to want to murder all of us, but we can't let Americans feel a certain sense of injustice at the horrible acts committed against our fellow citizens? Discuss amongst yourselves.
