And no, Todd, I will not consider buying a PC now. I get enough pain stubbing my toe in daily life. I don't need it when I am pursuing my hobby as well.

Nomad's Space Age Goes Down in Flames
I don't know if anyone else really cares, but hey, this is a BLog which means I am allowed to whine about personal stuff, right? (Actually, since Ward founded the BLog, chances are he is more entitled to whine then I am. But then again, it is the weekend so he's not here.
) The internet is back up and working great. The wireless Airport base station is back up and working great. But now my Powerbook has again gone down in flames. And this time it took my backup hard drive with it. (Well, I took it down by stupidly trying to do a system backup to that drive while things were unstable.) So, now I am trying to restore my backup disk, then I may try to restore my main system drive, but it is possible my Powerbook is dead. If so, it means that my TiBook is my shortest lived Powerbook by about 4 years. My Pismo (which I just sold) is about 6 years old and still in great shape. My original color Powerbook is now about 12 years old and works fine (though it is understandably slow). My Powerbook Duo, bought in early college days, is now about 15 years old and works reasonably well for the small business who it got sold to. Ironically, I am now posting using my brother's Generation 1 iBook which is about 6 years old and has never had a problem. But my Titanium Powerbook - G4 with advanced technology - will have lasted about 4 years. Sigh. Well, I hope my next Powerbook is up to the standards of the first few, and not the last one.
And no, Todd, I will not consider buying a PC now. I get enough pain stubbing my toe in daily life. I don't need it when I am pursuing my hobby as well.
