Kerry, Now with 70% More Hindsight!

Now that John Kerry has completely abandoned his "promise" to stay positive in the race, I guess all bets are off. That is the only way to explain his recent Michael Moore talking points attack against the President for his 7 minute wait on the morning of 9/11. To call this attack a low-blow smear would be to give Frankenkerry too much credit. We can expect such stupidity from someone like Moore who has never shown more than a seventh grade mentality. But from someone who is running for the White House, this is absurd. Apparently, it wasn't in his written speech and he decided to be "witty" and include it. Too bad. Hopefully though, this will serve to clear up for the swing voters just who exactly will be running this country if Frankenkerry wins...People who think like Michael Moore.

Frankenkerry claims that he would have "acted swiftly" and so on. Just what could he have done in those 7 minutes? I'm sure Air Force One needed at least a few minutes to be ready for flight. I suppose he could have jumped up and shouted, "We're all gonna die, kids!" But then they would have probably thought that he was having a Vietnam flashback. No, in truth there is nothing that could have been done differently. An evil like we haven't known was forced upon our soil and I certainly took more than 7 minutes to comprehend this. What's most amazing is that these same people who claim that Bush should have jumped from the chair and taken action immediately (without details) claim that he "rushed to war" in two countries now. Hmmm...

So what did Frankenkerry do on the morning of 9/11 after the attacks? What bold move did he make to shore up defense or to comfort America? TNR has the transcript from a Larry King interview Frankenkerry gave,
"Listen, he wasn't president on Sept. 11, and I am not questioning his reflexes or reactions, but it is worth noting what Kerry did do on Sept. 11, 2001. Here's what he told Larry King: "...And as I came in [to a meeting in Sen. Daschle's office], Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid were standing there, and we watched the second plane come in to the building. And we shortly thereafter sat down at the table and then we just realized nobody could think, and then boom, right behind us, we saw the cloud of explosion at the Pentagon..."

Kudos to Red State for finding that. And for noting: "It should be noted that the second plane hit the World Trade Center at 9:03 a.m., and the plane hit the Pentagon at 9:43 a.m. By Kerry's own words, he and his fellow senators sat there for forty minutes, realizing 'nobody could think.'"
Perhaps those in glass houses shouldn't be throwing stones.
