USA Today is reporting that the company that cleaned up the film stock for the original Star Wars trilogy (well the "original" special edition) used over 350 PowerMac G5s for their process. They have actually converted the whole film into high-definition video which waiting in their vaults to be used eventually to produce HD version of the films to be rereleased again as HD-DVD or as SuperBit DVDs.
I guess this means I will have to buy the original films at least twice more. Oh, well. I already have 4 versions (2 VHS, 1 VCD, 1 bootleg DVD) so what is a couple more?
