President Bush's speech won't go down as his greatest but it was a good solid speech just the same. He spoke about good future plans (even though he also spoke about a lot of money for those plans) and he spoke with more strength about the WOT and Iraq then he had in quite a while. He avoided negativity but still pointed out many of Kerry's flaws and reminded us why he was elected four years ago.
Of course, the Democratic response was "Where has Bush been the last four years with all these ideas?" Well let's see, when he's not trying to convince the Europeans to act on behalf of freedom and civilization, he's too busy trying to convince the lunatic left that he's not Hitler. The Democrats have done virtually nothing in Congress in the past year. Anything the Republicans bring us is immediately bogged down in gridlock. But this shouldn't be a surprise, it's the Democrats favorite strategy after all.
