After the recent release of the "personal papers" of one of Lt. George W. Bush's commanding officers from his time on duty, now some people are calling attention to the details of formatting and typeface of the documents. They claim that the font was not in use at any time on typewriters, and that only a modern word processor like Microsoft Word could create this kind of document. Charges are being flung both ways and people are getting quite worked up.
Course, they wouldn't be if they checked out the content of the papers. They basically say only stuff we already know. Bush was flying, skipped a physical, and was granted leave to work on a political campaign. The commanding officer was not thrilled with this state of affairs, but what commanding officer would be?! I'll bet John Kerry's C.O. wasn't thrilled when he went home after 4 months, since he was considered to be an effective officer.
Now that that is dealt with, can we actually talk about issues? Or at least one issue: terrorism? Does John Kerry actually have a position on that one?
