As if we needed any more reason to be reminded how utterly useless and retarded the UN has become, we now have Kofi equating the prisoner abuse scandal to terrorists acts and Saddam's regime. Don't let it be said that moral equivalence is dead in this world body!
You know, maybe I could take the Stupid Brigade a little more seriously if Kofi would actually get off of his rear end and lead the UN to do something about the situation in Sudan. You want to talk about the "rule of law?" How about the way Kofi has refused to even acknowledge genocide in that country? The UN has been as hesitant about dealing with Sudan as they were about Iraq. It makes one wonder if perhaps there aren't more deep, dark secrets in the UN's closet.
Despite my disgust with our own nation's lack of action, at least President Bush is calling for a collective training of African forces to deal with the situation. But this too was met with a cold reception at the UN. Apparently, they just don't like anything that might cause their collective ease to be ruffled at all. What a waste this organization has become.
He is right, the rule of law is at risk. And that risk continues to grow every time we allow this idiotic organization to sit by why innocents suffer just so that they can mock and deride the US for doing the job that 17 resolutions supported but no one else was willing to do.
