Conservative Comics

It's no big secret that the large portion of Hollywood media types are liberal in their leanings. They make it impossible to miss actually. When it comes to musicians and actors, I tend to find myself wishing they would just shut up and know their role. However, I am much more willing to listen to comedians who have a point. After all, they're usually the socially aware types (even the idiots at least tend to research their points for comedic value) and I guess I feel that their art form is more prone to politicial discourse. The comedian's purpose is to observe and comment on human nature and so on. So, I can deal with (and often expect) the best comedians to reference politicial content and have strong views.



Therefore, I'm glad that this new batch of "conservative" entertainers are comedians and not actors or musicians. It might make them bearable. Maybe, we'll see. I have heard any of them but it will be interesting the first time one of them makes it onto Comedy Central.
