Adjustable tint glasses

I, like millions of other Americans, wear glasses. One of the most annoying things about wearing glasses is when you go from dark to bright light or vice versa. This is a rough adjustment for anybody, but with glasses it's exaggerated. Researchers at the U. of Washington have developed glasses that change their tint to any color of the rainbow with a small adjustment. The problem with most tinted glasses comes in that transition time between dark to light or light to dark. So, they're either too dark or not dark enough and then you have to wait 5 minutes for them to change over. With these glasses a quick turn of a nob and suddenly they're correct. This is going to be great! For once I can be proud of what is being developed with my tax dollars at UW.
