Can Edwards be the dark horse winner

With all the attention in the Democratic primary being focused sharply on Hillary and Obama, it seems that many of the other candidates have be overlooked. Remembering back to '04 everybody was focused on Dean and someone else (who I can't for the life of me remember) before the Iowa caucus, but then Kerry won and suddenly had all the momentum in the world. I wonder if Edwards can do the same thing? I tend to doubt it - particularly since his numbers have been slipping as of late. But still the question is there: could Edwards be the dark horse winner of the Democratic party? Hillary and Obama will have to slip up some bad for it to happen, but given the events of '04, I wouldn't toss it as a possibility.
