It turns out that the youth vote was at virtually the same level as it was in 2000, this despite all the efforts of the mostly over-the-hill music acts that did everything in their power to sway this election. Let this be a lesson. Young people will travel hundreds of miles to listen to music, but we won't travel one mile to vote just because some idiot with a guitar tells us to. If Kerry wanted the youth vote than he should have talked about issues important to young people instead of relying on washed-up stars that our parents liked. Sorry Democrats, but you treat the youth vote much like you do the black vote. And neither are going to completely come through for you until you stop taking them for granted.
