CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and others have the story of Scott Peterson being convicted of 1st degree murder (his wife) and 2nd degree murder (their unborn son). This happened approximately two hours away from where I live. The thing I find most interesting is that in such a liberal area of the country, the death of the unborn son was considered murder as opposed to just being the termination of a fetus when abortion is spoken about. Even the news sources are saying "unborn son". That an unborn child still legally counts as a life goes back to both Mosaic law (see verses 22-23) and the Code of Hammurabi. Peterson will either face the death penalty or life without parole.
