We've Come a Long Way From the Carrot on the Stick

Nothing says "good will" like leading countries along with the promise of lots of weapons! The Pentagon apparently feels that Pakistan has been "good" enough that they deserve advanced weapons systems.

"This proposed sale will contribute to the foreign policy and national security of the US by helping improve the security of a friendly nation that continues to be a key ally in the global war on terrorism," the Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency, which looks after foreign arms sales, said in a press statement in Washington on Wednesday.

You mean that it's good for us as long as Musharef isn't murdered by jihadists who promptly plunge Pakistan into chaos and steal the weapons to use against American citizens, right?
