A Balanced View of Palestinian Future and Past

I am one of those rare Republicans. I am a die-hard supporter of Israel - for both moral and religious reasons - and yet I do tend to think the Palestinians got a raw deal. What do you do when two peoples have an equally valid claim to a land, and yet show an absolute inability to live together? There is no good answer to the question. Especially when both sides contain extremists who have an absolute inability to bend. Now that Yasser Arafat is gone, there are knee-jerk reactions from both sides calling him the darkest devil and the brightest angel. It is hard to find a reasonable voice.

But the BBC has a reasonably good and balanced review of Palestine's past and future. Potential for peace and justice, potential for unending terrorism and rascism. Let's be praying that the new leadership can do what the old leadership never did.
