I admire the guy's willingness to try, but seriously. Does anyone think he's got a snowball's chance? I think there's a better chance of the Republicans running the "Queer Eye" crew for President. If there's one thing that defines a national contender in the Democratic party these days, aside from a burning hatred of George Bush, it's that they're pro-choice. Consider Joe Liberman, poor guy. And they're already lining up to take shots at Roemer's run.

Kate Michelman, a leading advocate for abortion choice, said "the election of such a staunchly anti-choice leader would signal that the Democratic Party is retreating from one of its core principles."

There you have it, believing that abortion isn't always the answer (even though he still supports abortion rights) is to abandon the core principles of the Democratic party. Straight from the horse's mouth. You can't be a loyal Democrat and oppose abortion. Contrast that to the other side where strong pro-life stances are expected and yet some of the biggest "stars" are at least moderately pro-choice.
