According to a Zogby poll, 59% of Americans have a favorable view of China, up 13% from ten years ago. The underlying reason? Money. Yet again, Americans have voted with their wallets, though they do list the environment and human rights as concerns. On the other hand, this is based off a poll of a total of 1,405 people so I'm not sure how accurate that number even is.
I'm not sure if having a favorable view of China is a good thing or a bad thing. On the one hand, they allow us to produce and sell cheaper products here in the states. On the other hand, they are taking away jobs and are one of the few countries that has a completely different philosophy of government than us and yet has enough power to beat us in war.
