Nomad Makes the Upgrade

Yes, I am sad. It is official. I went ahead and made the upgrade to the Sony DSC-L1. So far, I really like it. Used it quite a bit at work today (some out of towners were visiting for a meeting) and the pictures came out clear and the zoom worked great. Only issue so far is the white balance, but I think that I am just spoiled now with my Digital Rebel's auto-white balance feature. One thing I could not find in my research was an exact comparison of sizes between my old U20 keychain camera and the new L1. So, I used another less digital camera to take this picture and make the comparison.



As youi can see, it is a bit bigger than my old faithful shooter. But not so much that I can't stick it into any pocket and pull it out easily for quick candids and unexpected events. And since in return I am getting a 3x zoom and 4.1 megapixels, I am willing to make the trade.
