Some are beginning to see signs that there might be. The article is clearly written from a pro-Bush perspective but the evidence seems right. The three reasons the author says are most responsible for a possible warming in relations are:
1. Arafat's death
2. Radical Islam's growth in Europe
3. Russia's unfriendly posture
It's unfortunate if it takes common concern to move us together, but at least the pursuit of common goals can serve as a bridge. We certainly need something to warm relations up without putting our security at risk.
