Scotty of Star Trek Passes On

Rest in peace, James Doohan. The burly actor, who played Scotty on the original series (and movies, and a guest spot on Star Trek: The Next Generation, and who knows how many Conventions), passed away this morning at 5:30 AM of Alzeimers and pnuemonia. I guess the torch truly has been passed, as now there is no one to "beam up" Kirk if Shatner attempts some kind of come-back special.
