I am a Business Analysis - no union - and the son of a lawyer - no union - who was the son of a contractor - no union. So, maybe I am missing the requisite compassion. But I still find it interesting that the AFL-CIO has lost their largest member union as they find themselves losing power on a daily basis. Is this the end of the Union (with a capital U) or just what the old Labor movement needs to jump-start the idea of collective bargaining?
All I know is that it is a BAD THING that the most public example of a union out there right now is the baseball or hockey unions, which accept lockouts rather than take care of the fan.
