The company that runs "extended warranty" services for Microsoft has revealed that the failure rate for XBox 360 is over 16%. Compare that to 2% for Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii. One must wonder how users put up with that kind of horrible service, even though it is familiar to anyone who has worked with Windows. I believe our own failure rate here on Mod-Blog reflects that as well, as I know at least one Mod-Blogger has gotten the red-circle-of-death.
Is this how Microsoft plans to enforce an upgrade cycle?
Microsoft = launched before debuged
YanıtlaSilthat could be said for many companies. i have a friend that used to work for real networks and he says they only employed 2 or 3 q/a people at a time. it seems that the problem ms has is that they miss the really critical bugs (e.g. vista) before they deploy. most people can deal with minor bugs, but when it's a major bug it's hard to get things done.
YanıtlaSilTwo things:
YanıtlaSil1) Some sources claim the failure rate is as high as 33%.
2) Microsoft did give in and offer free repairs to anyone suffering the RROD on a 360 console. It is inconvenient, yes. But at least they are doing something.
