Honestly, I missed the Obama/Clinton debate last night because... well... I was tired and went to bed early. But reading the post-debate analysis, it seems to come down to two moments. The first was when Hillary tried to go after Obama again for the "plagiarism" charge (which is funny considering how much of her political life is "borrowed" from her husband) and the crowd booed her loudly...
And then at the end, Mrs. Clinton made it clear that she would NOT try to overturn the decision of the voters through Superdelegates, if she loses Texas and/or Ohio. This is a huge concession from a woman who formerly was obviously considering pulling out EVERY gun to defeat the young upstart. (I tried to find it on YouTube, but was unable.)
The pundits are pretty much united in their reactions. Hillary won this debate and improved her image, but did not change the tone or course of the campaign and probably lost the nomination tonight. We shall see.
What do our Mod-Blog readers think? Did Obama win it all tonight? Did Clinton turn things around? Will we see any significant changes in the polls or the campaigns?
So getting booed is winning the debate?

I think it is more like when Al Gore finally gave in during the 2000 mess in Florida. A person being noble in accepting inevitable defeat is appealing, and speaks to something in all of us. It reminds us that winning isn't everything, and that there is character to be shown in losing.
YanıtlaSilSo, I think the focus groups think she won, because she finally came across as human and appealing. But I do NOT think it is going to change her fortunes in Texas or Ohio.
