I continue to be underwhelmed by the OLPC XO that I bought in the Give-One-Get-One program. I really expected a unit that was beta, but still very useable. Instead, I got a unit that is barely useable at the best of time and crashing every out of every program in 10 seconds at the worst of times. Except for the Give-One aspect, I'd have been much better off with an Asus EeePC or just about anything else.
I hate to say it, but the OLPC program has pretty much lost my vote over this.
I agree. I wonder when they will release a new build of the software. Hopefully that will fix enough of the bugs to make it more stable.
The other problem I have had with the OLPC is that it is not as intuitive as many other devices I have used. They should have made it a little simpler to use.
