If I needed something to put the whole thing with Anonymous in the Shoutbox into perspective, God certainly provided. I got home from work at about 5:30 PM. I had an appointment to get to at 6:00 PM, so I left my car out in front of our house with my GPS inside. I went inside, used the bathroom and grabbed my laptop, I went back outside to find the passenger window of my car smashed in and my GPS (Nuvi 660) yanked out. That was all they took, and all they damaged. No one was hurt, either. I called the police and gave them the info including the serial number of the GPS. They indicated there have been a rash of such thefts, and they are hot on the heels of the thieves. I called Geico and they were helpful, even though my deductible is likely to be more than the cost of replacing the window.
I praise God for his mercy on this, and that all I lost was a thing that is easily replaced. And that I have enough money that I do not have to choose between food and fixing the window. Click on the picture to see the whole set.
