Circumcision vs. AIDS

I am trying to avoid commenting too much on this story, but I could not leave it unposted. A new study shows Circumcision cuts the risk of AIDS by up to 60%. Is it a coincidence that so many of the Theistic religions encourage this practice, if they do not outright require it? This is the strongest link yet shown between the two.
