Who is MoveOn.org?

That is, who is MoveOn aside from raving moonbats? RollingStone offers us a surprisingly balanced piece. Their conclusion?
So who is MoveOn? Consider this: Howard Dean finished first in the MoveOn primary. Number Two wasn't John Kerry or John Edwards -- it was Dennis Kucinich. Listing the issues that resonate most with their membership, Boyd and Blades cite the environment, the Iraq War, campaign-finance reform, media reform, voting reform and corporate reform. Somewhere after freedom, opportunity and responsibility comes "the overlay of security concerns that everybody shares." Terrorism as a specific concern is notably absent. As are jobs. As is health care. As is education.
In other words, they're the flaming edge of what it means to be liberal. Little surprise there from anyone who's read their rhetoric. But RollingStone nails it on the head when they rightly point out that issues of security are totally absent from the MoveOn thought process. Bastions of liberal thought, and they don't care about freedom or Democracy nearly as much as they care about the environment or corporate crime. They're hopelessly out of touch with Middle America, and seem proud of that fact that they're still living in the past decade.
