Making a Thumb Drive Your Portable Computer

Don't have the funds for laptop, but want the ability to take your data with you whereever you go? Why not buy a thumb drive and install on it standalone apps that live on the thumb drive and go where you go?! This is a great solution for those of us who have to move between work sites or who want to be able to keep our data off of our work computers. Of course, the downside is that all of these apps are PC-only for now. But it is only a matter of time.
