You may have noticed a decided lack of news on the Michael Jackson trial. This is not a coincidence. We here at Mod-Blog feel that the media obsession with the singer of Thriller is generally unhealthy, and that the best way to ensure justice in this case is to let the judge and jury do their work. Thus, no need for us to stir the pot.
But we do like to point out the cleverer ideas among us. And Jay Leno's newest move definite counts as clever, if nothing else. When Leno was called as a witness for the defense, he was given a gag order forbidding him from publicly commenting on the trial or Michael Jackson. However, the gag order did not cover writing jokes about him. So he has hired an actor to read the jokes for him! Thus, the Jay Leno monologue, with Jay Leno, but spoken in another voice. That is not bad at all!
