In case you missed it, Russia is at war...

...with Georgia, a FSU state, over the fate of a breakaway province. Between the Olympics and the American presidential campaign, not a lot of time is being dedicated to this development on TV, radio, or the internet. But it could be very important, historically.

  1. I think I have to disagree with you about the amount of press it's getting. I've seen it everywhere.

    The really disturbing thing to me is that this is the exact setup for the story in Tom Clancy's first Ghost Recon game, which is something like 6-8 years old now.

    The story starts when Georgian rebels attempt to break away from the country in order to join Russia and the government cracks down on them, bringing Russia into the fight.
