Presidential Match-O-Matic

Realizing that right now the field of Presidential candidates is overwhelming in number and underwhelming in charisma and ability, ABC News and USAToday have put up the Presidential Match-O-Match. You answer about 10 simple questions and they match you up to the candidate which they believe best matches your belief system. You may surprised. My results are below.

10 yorum:

  1. Here are my results:
    1. Mitt Romney
    2. Rudy Guliani
    3. Tom Tancredo

  2. 1. Huckabee
    2. McCain
    3. Hunter

  3. 1. Huckabee
    2. Richardson (what the @$#% !?)
    3. Guiliani

I don't believe this system if only because Richardson made it anywhere on my radar. OMG, that's fricken' ridiculous.

  4. yeah, I don't see it as that accurate since it didn't ask a single question about abortion and that's my big issue. That, and my first two results are candidates I've chosen not to support. I got Romney, Giuliani, and Huckabee. Romney is too much of a flip-flopper and Giuliani is pro-choice.

  5. Mine was pretty accurate. Although I would never vote for tom Tancredo for President. Although if he were my congressman I would be very happy.

  6. Mine were Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney and Duncan Hunter.

I'm not surprised with Fred Thompson, as everything I have heard him say has sounded good to me. And he DOES answer the questions that are put to him.

I like Mitt Romney's positions on many issues and he does seem presidential. He has proved himself as competent in many areas.

I don't know enough about Duncan Hunter to know if is logical for me.

  7. I got Huck Fin, Mormon Man, and MacOlderThanDirtCane. None of which I would be excited to vote for.

  8. Yeah, the idea was not to pick who you'd be excited about, but whose beliefs you are closest to. I am surprised Ron Paul did not show up in your listing, with your libertarian leanings.

  9. Thompson, Romney and Paul.

Reading their answers to the questions... I think Romney actually might be closer to my views. The survey didn't ask which issues were more important, and was a bit to short to really get an idea of what they believe. I think it's purpose is to find out who to look into more closely if you haven't found someone yet.

Funny... I'm more libertarian than BowHunter!:D

I could support Thompson or Romney (He and Huckabee are my current favs), but I don't think I could support Ron Paul. This will make me look more at Thompson.

I was a bit surprised Huckabee didn't come up, but in some ways pleased:)

  10. Honest Question. Based on what you know now, do you think any Republican can win in November?

I was considering this again while reviewing our comments. I still see NO Mod-Bloggers excited about a candidate. The closest is CRChair and Nick with their "My Man Mitt" slogans. But mostly, I see a lot of apathy and feeling of choosing the "lesser of two evils." If we are at this point before the primaries begin (burned out, unmotivated) does the GOP have any chance when the real election comes?
