Apple offers AppleCare for iPhone, but Nomad need not apply

Apple is now offering extended product protection for its iPhones in the form of AppleCare, which gives you 3 years of protection on your iPhone instead of the 1 year of complimentary protection. I had been on the fence about buying the protection, since there is a good chance by 1 year from original purchase the 3G iPhone will be out. But it turns out I had no need to worry. Residents of Connecticut are not eligible!
Apple is not authorized to sell the AppleCare Protection Plan for iPhone to residents of Alabama, Connecticut, Nevada, or Wyoming. If you are a resident of Alabama, Connecticut, Nevada, or Wyoming, please do not order the AppleCare Protection Plan for iPhone. If you submit an order that includes the AppleCare Protection Plan for iPhone, Apple will remove it from your order, notify you about the removal and process the remaining items on your order.
I know of at least one company for which this will be a deal-breaker, since they insist on AppleCare with all of the items they buy. Suddenly, there is little to no chance of them getting iPhones for their people, especially since AT&T also refuses to sell phone insurance for the device.
