The NY Times has up an interesting graphic making an attempt at understanding the various factions within the Republican party. They obviously have come to realize that neither they, nor most of their readers, have any idea what a Republican is.
I say it's interesting, not necessarily accurate. But to be fair, it would be impossible to catch many of the nuances. Life is always far too complicated for graphs. For example, while I am a religious person I fall much more easily into a block of "leave them alone" that reads much more libertarian rather than religious. But nothing is perfect. It's worth checking it out though, just for some thought.
