SOTU

The President did a fine enough job last night. He was clear and hit the notes that he wanted to. I thought he was good to take on conservatives' fear of immigration and the best part of the speech came with his discussion of Iraq. Regardless of errors, no reasoning person can deny the good that is coming from there. Of course, there are a lot of non-reasoning people and a lot of them have microphones or keyboards now-a-days. His call for new energy supply was especially good. Of course, the Democrats stood and applauded like they support independence but they've done everything in their power to block us from using our own resources.



Overall though, just an average speech for the President. He could have done more, but this seemed to be a more measured speech aimed a few specific points and mostly grazing over other issues. Not as inspiring as some of his speeches but acceptable enough.
