Happy Birthday, Mr President (Emeritus)

Apparently, I am not the only one living in denial about today being Superbowl Day. Republicans all over the country are celebrating the birthday of the late President Ronald Reagan. I guess I would not call this inappropriate, but one has to wonder whether this is a sincere expression of affection or the beginning of a political movement to memorialize Reagan's birthday the way we celebrate Washington and Lincoln. (Or does "President's Day" cover everyone now?)
