Two girls decide to stay at home and bake cookies for their neighbors instead of attending a dance "where there might be cursing and drinking" and end up having to pay almost $900 because a neighbor got scared. Aparantly, according to the judge, 10:30 as too late for them to be out on a Friday night. What 17 or 18 year old does he know that doesn't stay out after 10:30 on a Friday night?
More information is available here. Apparantly the families offered to pay the woman's medical costs and they still sued. It also was not only a Friday night, but a Friday night in July.
