Apparently, the rumors are swirling that George Lucas is going to announce a new upcoming Star Wars film set for theaters at the CELEBRATION event in L.A., where they are celebrating 30 years of Star Wars. Allegedly, the film will be set in the age of the Old Republic and presumably would NOT involve the Skywalkers in any way, shape, or form. The early life of Mace Windu, perhaps? The romantic adventures of Yoda, maybe? Or better yet, R2D2 and Boba Fett in a remake of Revenge of the Nerds!
Who am I kidding? If they make it, I'll buy a ticket and the DVD. Still, unless they plan to let someone else make the film... or they decide to make the originally-promised sequel trilogy... I don't really see the point.
