Thank You on Memorial Day

We salute you!

To any Mod-Blog readers who have served in the Armed Forced, we want to take this Veteran's Day to say it clearly: Thank you for your service. For putting our safety and freedom above your own. For dedicating your lives to others, so that we can live our lives here on the homefront. You are appreciated and remembered every day. But especially today.

Thank you, Lord, for good friends, happy families, good food, secure shelter, and for introducing us to your Son so that we have known from an early age the joy of the certainty in our Salvation.

Memorial Day

We here at Mod-Blog want to thank our men and women in the military who have given their lives or their well-being for the sake of our country and its freedoms. Whether a soldier fought in the first Wars of a young republic, fought on the shores of Europe and Asia, fought in the jungles of South America and the Far East, or fought in the deserts of Iraq, we thank you. Thomas Jefferson once wrote, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants," and unfortunately he was right. We thank you and honor you today, and every day.

We especially thank those among our Mod-Blog readers who have served, and continue to serve. This means you, our retired Marine friend and our friend currently serving in the Navy. And the others I may not be aware actually read this blog.
