Well, blogger has also updated themselves recently and I am going to upgrade the site. However, some of our info might temporarily be lost. I've got a backup of everything, but things might be iffy for a day or so while I figure out the new setup and so on. Please bear with us =)
one suggestion: have a link to the old shoutbox so that we can view past shouts.
YanıtlaSilAlso, it would be much better to my sense of order if we can keep the "posted by" line to one line. Lots of ways to do it:
YanıtlaSil1. Take out "posted by"
2. Take out the seconds from the time.
3. Change the font size of the whole line,
4. Take out the date from the line, since it is already shown above the new day of posts.
And, of course, please bring back the colors to indicate who is posting.
YanıtlaSilThe text on the bottom line will be a bit smaller soon. The colors are in the plan, but I have not yet figured out how to get them to work on the new layout design. But I have posted a request for help.
YanıtlaSilAnother thought is the current header is too large (tall) for what it holds. We want as much content visible as possible.
YanıtlaSilit think the header is a fine size - it's quite striking. in fact i like it this way better than the old way.
YanıtlaSilAs for text size, if I were you, then I'd switch the size of the content text and the info line and that'll be good. You don't want to go much smaller for older eyes that can't handle too small text. Perhaps bump the blockquote size up a tad.
Other than that I think it looks great Ward. Good job.
Thanks for the input, guys. I compromised and shrunk the the header a little bit but kept it big enough that I think it still has that 'striking' quality as Sean mentioned becuase I agree with him that it really grabs your attention.
YanıtlaSilThe header difference must be the difference between a layout artist and a wordy writer. I want the content to be most prominent, he wants the aesthetics to be right. :) It is nice having so diverse a team, skills-wise.
YanıtlaSilIf we're not putting and tools on the left side, do we really need all that white space?
