Of course it's an oxymoron anyway, it's certainly not safe for the life of the baby. But now, there's growing concern over effects of RU-486. The radical left believes that abortion on demand is a useful form of birth control and should be available by any means at any time. They argue that they want to make abortion "safe." The only way it will ever be safe is to not have an abortion. Now the miracle pill is showing itself to not be such a miracle after all, and those who forced it through might yet have to admit what they have done to a whole generation of young women.
There are so many otherwise rational people who support abortion "rights." And those of us opposed to the murder of thousands of innocent lives every day have often taken the wrong track. Education is the key. It's up to us to show the simple facts of abortion; to show the damage (physically and emotionally) that it does, to teach that life's beginning can't be measured by when it's convenient for a mother, to teach that you shouldn't even be having sex until you're ready for the possibility of a child. But we fail to do that. Instead, we insult the women who feel they have no other viable option.
Consider these links to get a view of the people who are responsible for much of the modern abortion movement. The first is an essay dealing in part with Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood. The second deals with Sanger and her followers. Consider that these are the people that the modern abortion movement still look up to as heroes.
